What is Foam Finders?

Foam Finders is a community-driven platform dedicated to helping Guinness enthusiasts find top-rated pints across the UK and Ireland. The quality of a Guinness can vary dramatically from pub to pub, and our community of reviewers helps you discover venues that take pride in serving an excellent pint.

How Ratings Work

Our rating system is based on three key quality factors that Guinness lovers care about:

  • Schtick (Foam Stick): How well the foam adheres to the glass as you drink
  • Head: The quality and consistency of the creamy head
  • Taste: Overall flavour profile and freshness

Each factor is rated on a scale of 0-10 by our community members. The overall pub rating is calculated as the average of these three quality metrics across all reviews. We also track price separately for reference, but it does not affect the quality rating.

Community Guidelines

All ratings on Foam Finders are submitted by registered users who have visited the pubs they review. We expect all community members to:

  • Provide honest and accurate ratings based on their genuine experience
  • Rate only pubs they have personally visited
  • Be respectful of pub staff and other community members
  • Report any suspicious or fraudulent reviews

Content Moderation

We review flagged content and reserve the right to remove ratings that violate our community guidelines. If you believe a review is fraudulent, spam, or otherwise inappropriate, please contact us.

Data Sources

Pub location data is sourced from Google Places API. All ratings and reviews are user-generated content from our community. Pub images may be sourced from Google Places or uploaded by users.
